Archana Puran Singh just revealed on The Kapil Sharma Show that she had to hide her marriage to husband Parmeet Sethi for the first 4 years.
Archana revealed this during the episode where the newly-wed couple, Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh, made an appearance. Speaking to Kapil, she shared that Parmeet’s family didn’t approve of her as she was an actress. But he was adamant that he wanted to marry her.
She goes on to say that they then met a priest and arranged to get married secretly. The priest apparently enquired if she was a ‘balika‘ and Parmeet, she says, assured him that she was more ‘balika‘ than he was! Interesting, she adds that she was shooting for Saif Ali Khan‘s debut film at that time and hid it from everyone on set. She says she even got a call from her hairdresser as she was missing from sets.
Archana jokes that it was good there was no social media to keep track of their where-abouts at that time because of which they could easily cover up their marriage for 4 long years.
The couple are now happily married since 1992 Parmeet gained success only after that when he did Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge in 1995. They are parents to two sons — Aaryamann and Ayushmann.
