Ever since the trailer of Richa Chadha‘s Shakeela biopic’s trailer has dropped it has been making the headlines as it should be. But a few on the internet couldn’t help but point out the movie’s apparent similarity to Vidya Balan‘s The Dirty Picture. Naturally, many who were of the opinion also compared Vidya’s performance in The Dirty Picture to Richa’s in the upcoming movie.
Recently on being asked about the same in an interview with Zoom Digital, Richa said she didn’t mind. She said this was bound to happen because both the women that these movies are based on were from the South, were doing similar sort of films in the same era. She also said that she feels grateful that she is being compared to someone as dignified and as lovely as Vidya Balan.
