Sanjay Leela Bhansali announcing any film is something that gets us all super excited. While he is currently working on Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi, he has also announced his next project titled Baiju Bawra.
Around last year, he made an announcement regarding the film and ever since then, there have been so many reports about the leading man in the film. While recent news suggested that it was Ranbir Kapoor who has been approached to play the lead in the film, he has something else to say.
In a recent interview with Rajeev Masand, Ranbir spoke about his upcoming projects that include Ayan Mukerji‘s Brahmastra, Yash Raj‘s Shamshera, Luv Ranjan‘s next untitled project, among others. He also spoke about how he was never offered Baiju Bawra, hence putting an end to all the speculations. He said, “No, it’s a complete rumour. I haven’t been offered any film from him.”
But speaking about the movies he has signed, he spoke about signing on Kabir Singh director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga‘s upcoming gangster drama that is reportedly titled Animal now. He said that he will start shoot for it mid-year in 2021 after wrapping up Luv Ranjan’s film.
Now that we’ve heard about Baiju Bawra from Ranbir himself, all we are excited for is his amazing line-up for releases and to see him on the big screen very soon!
