Currently, he has more than 2 million followers on Instagram and 4 million subscribers on YouTube. He donated his hair to help cancer patients
Melvin Louis always donned shoulder-length long hair as his style statement. However, when he was told about the hair donations to make wigs for cancer patients, he decided to grow his hair long enough to donate. Over the last 8 years, Melvin grew his hair naturally with the aim of donating it one day. He was inspired to donate his hair by his friend’s nieces who did the same at the age of just 12 and 8. Melvin shared his story on social media with aim of positively influencing his fans and making more and more people aware.
Here’s what Melvin had to say about this initiative,
It has been a long journey of eight years, where I continued to work towards my goal, devoid of any distractions. I always ensured to keep my hair free off any chemical treatments in order to meet the criteria for the donation’s requirements. It is an extremely rewarding experience to be able to help someone. Our little efforts could bring in so much happiness into someone else’s lives. We have the ability to spread joy in not just our lives but be a part of other’s happiness and I see no reason in not taking the opportunity to do so.
We are super proud of Melvin and are really happy to see creators come forward and help other people in need. Even a small good deed can help change someone’s life, don’t you agree?
