Richa Chadha is an actress who has made a name for herself with the different characters she has played and the raw portrayal of each of those characters. Looks like 2021 is a year full of movie releases for the actress who has been basking in the positive reviews of the trailer of Shakeela. Richa is now looking forward to another movie release that sees her in the lead called Madam Chief Minister. The trailer of the movie just released and it looks great. As usual, Richa has dug deep to get into the shoes of her character and it seems like she’s doing complete justice to it.
Madam Chief Minister talks about a young woman from a small village who rises in ranks in Indian politics by breaking the caste system as well as the patriarchy. Richa is seen sporting a short-haired look for this role and throughout the trailer we see her character rising in power to become the chief minister and someone who continues to work for the upliftment of backward classes and women. The actress has visibly transformed as she physically and emotionally sinks her teeth in the boisterous part in which Richa shines with her sharp act. The sturdy ensemble around her comprises Saurabh Shukla, Manav Kaul, and Akshaye Oberoi.

Talking about playing this character, Richa said:
This is such an incredible story of an unlikely leader who defies all norms, all societal expectations to became a chief minister like no other. I’m extremely grateful I got entrusted with such a layered character. As actors, such amazing scripts are hard to come by. I have learnt a lot about Indian society and politics via this film. I sincerely hope the audience enjoys it as much as we have.
The movie is set to release in cinemas on 22nd January will mostly also be available on Netflix post its cinema run.
