Akshay Kumar was one of the first actors that jumped back into shooting after the multiple Covid-induced lockdowns our country had. Not to mention that he was also one of the first actors to release his movie Laxmii on Disney+Hotstar. While the movie itself didn’t do too well, looks like another Akshay Kumar film is all set to release on a streaming platform.
The first film that Akshay Kumar started shooting for post lockdown called Bell Bottom may go for a direct OTT release if a report in Bollywood Hungama is to be believed. The producers of the movie Jackky Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani have started conversations with Amazon Prime for a direct digital release and so far it seems the deal is going well. There might be some clarity about the same next month.
Just after the release of Laxmii, the makers of Bell Bottom had released a teaser mentioning a theatrical release on 2nd April. But that seems unlikely as another Akshay film, Sooryavanshi might be looking for a release right around then. But the makers are still in discussion about the same and no official announcements have been made yet. Are you shocked by this decision?
