Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff was all set to kick-start shooting for the sequel Heropanti from December last year. There were talks all across about how the makers were chalking out plans to film it over 9 countries. Heropanti was to star Tara Sutaria as the female lead alongside Tiger. However, now according to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the shooting of the action thriller has been postponed because of COVID.

The publication quoted a source as saying—“The film was to be shot across the globe, however owing to the new variant of Coronavirus; the makers could not even complete their recce of shooting spots. It’s all a wait and watches scenario for the film right now and the makers will churn out a new schedule once the global scenario of Covid 19 is under control.”

However, Covid 19 is not the only reason for delay. The source further revealed that the script of the film also took longer than expected, and the writing department is still giving it’s finishing touches. In the meanwhile, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has started work on Akshay Kumar-Kriti Sanon starrer Bachchan Pandey.

Heropanti 2 will be helmed by Ahmed Khan, who is presently working on the action scenes of the film.
