In a major announcement yesterday, actor Prabhas shared that the filming of the magnum-opus, Adipurush, has finally kick-started. But just last night, there was unfortunate news of a fire at the sets of the film.

The fire reportedly broke out at around 4:10 PM last evening at Retro Gardens in Mumbai’s Goregaon area. Around 60 people were present on sets. The fire brigades were called on immediately, with around 8 fire engines, 5 jumbo tankers, 1 water tanker and a JCB brought on spot. The fire was doused by late evening, and one fireman was injured in the process. The fire brigade personnel was treated at the hospital and then discharged.

Indian Express reports that a source close to the film shared that Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan were not present on sets during that time and that they are safe.

The source further told the publication:

The film’s director Om Raut and Marathi actor Surya were present on the set and the shooting was happening against a chroma screen. Some VFX scenes were being shot too. No one on the set was injured. The cast and crew who were present on set today are safe.

We sure are glad everyone is safe. Here’s wishing the shoot of this magnum-opus goes on smoothly.
