The most cherished day of February is only 6 days away and we could really use all the lovey-dovey vibes, no? Valentine’s Day is an important occasion for many people and the excitement to doll up and do something special for your loved one, especially this year, is real! Whatever you decide to do—a socially distanced dinner date, a cosy night-in with your beau or have an OTT plan, a cute outfit to deck up in will make things a tad better!

Whether you are single or in a relationship, this Valentine’s Day, you ought to give yourself some self-love. This means nailing it on the sartorial front. But, if you are confused about what to wear, here’s a little guide to help you put together a cute look!

Scroll below for our Valentine’s Day outfit edit, that has something for everyone’s taste:

1) Swanky Dinner Date

Dinner at a fancy restaurant calls for an equally fancy outfit. Our pick for such a plan is a mini dress in a traditional red hue. Add to that a sexy element like an open back is all you need to up the oomph factor this Valentine’s Day. Team it up with a pair of slip-on heels or stilettos to complete the look. We wouldn’t blame you for stealing all the attention that night!

2) Netflix & Chill

Staying in will be the most preferred way to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year. If you’re not comfortable stepping out, plan a romantic movie and dinner night indoors, instead. A cute and relaxed look for a night like this would be the perfect choice of outfit you could make. Look to this trendy three-piece co-ord set, comprising a pair of knitted shorts, a crop-top and a cropped sweater in pastel blue as your OOTN. It’s cosy, looks stylish and is perfect to lounge in at home while enjoying some one-on-one time with your partner.

3) Virtual Date

For couples in a long-distance relationship or those quarantining,  there is always Zoom to the rescue! However, virtual needn’t mean non-stylish! A wise choice in such a situation would be to go for a vibrant top or dress to nail waist-up dressing. Pick out a sparkly sweater or dress, like the one below, that highlights your décolletage and enhance it further with a simple neckpiece. You have permission to team it up with comfy slippers cause no one is going to know, haha!

4) With Your Gal Pals

Got plans with your Galentines this year? Play dress-up with your gal pals by trying on a trend or two that you couldn’t, last year. Our personal pick would be something colourful and something with tulle for that playful vibe. Channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw by sporting a tulle skirt with a t-shirt or a ruffle dress. Be it single-coloured or rainbow-themed, we’re fans of the voluminous and feminine appeal of tulle ruffles. Furthermore, if you want to complete the look with something more classy, opt for some high heels. But even opting for sneakers will make for a fun pairing! What do you think?

5) Romantic Getaway

Has your partner surprised you with a mini getaway or an elaborate holiday to a tropical destination? Ditch ’em heels at home as this calls for trendy beachwear and long, breezy dresses! Currently, we’re all over tiered dresses that are perfect for lounging by the beach or dancing away the night in. Moreover, a bright colour such as lime green is a fun choice if you want to dial up the fashion quotient. Add some white sandals to complete the look and statement earrings to finish off your tropical V-Day look.
