On Sunday, a glacier burst in Joshimath of Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district caused a massive flood in the Dhauli Ganga river in the region. According to reports, as many as 150 people were feared dead after the glacier broke and collided into a dam. Many Bollywood celebrities expressed their solidarity with the affected. From Sonu Sood and Akshay Kumar to Shraddha Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, the celebrities took to their social media to offer prayers to the villagers.
Actor Sonu Sood who has helped thousands of migrant workers during the pandemic last year wrote that he stands with the people of Uttarakhand.
