In some unfortunate news for the Kapoor household, Rajiv Kapoor passed away today, on February 9th, after suffering a major heart attack.
Rajiv, 58, was the youngest of the Kapoor brothers— Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor. According to A Times Of India article, Rajiv was rushed to Inlaks Hospital in Chembur by his brother Randhir Kapoor, but the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Sister-in-law and the late Rishi Kapoor’s wife, Neetu Kapoor, shared the news on her Instagram as she posted a picture of Rajiv writing ‘RIP’.

Rajiv Kapoor made his debut with the film ‘Ek Jaan Hain Hum’ (1983) and is known for his performance in the film ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ (1985). He also tried his hand in direction with the film ‘Prem Granth‘, which starred Rishi Kapoor in the lead.
This has left the entire industry in shock, given it hasn’t even been a year since elder brother Rishi Kapoor’s death. Here’s praying his soul rests in peace and sending lots of strength to the Kapoor family to bear with this loss.
