Dia Mirza recently tied the knot with Mumbai-based businessman, Vaibhav Rekhi in an intimate ceremony that’s making waves all over the internet for being a plastic and waste-free event. The festivities were a testament to the actor’s beliefs on eco-friendly living and as for her sartorial choices, simple yet statement-making was the equation she went for, as she always does. While for the D-day Dia picked a gorgeous red Benarasi saree by Raw Mango, for the post-wedding festivities, she looked to the genius of Anita Dongre to sort her out! Dia Mirza looks resplendent in a blush pink anarkali:

The actor wore an ankle-grazing anarkali made from Chanderi mul, adorned with embellishments and silver embroidery in nature-inspired motifs. She teamed her kurta with a straight-cut salwar and a dupatta featuring the same decoration. Instead of accessorising her look with traditional gold jewellery, Dia took a different route and went for silver jewellery instead. A floral-shaped statement neckpiece, jhumkas and an encrusted handcuff completed her look. A pair of ivory-coloured embellished juttis from Fizzy Goblet added the perfect finishing touch to her elegant look.

In the beauty department, Dia opted for heavily-kohled eyes with a generous use of mascara, defined eyebrows and a mauve lipstick. She left her hair open with the upper half braided and clipped at the back in a centre-parting, only accentuating her minimalistic bridal look.

Whether you’ve got an intimate wedding to attend or have other traditional festivities on your calendars, a look like Dia’s will serve as the perfect, modest yet statement-making outfit!
