The pandemic and the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 had pushed the release of many films. Now, things are slowly getting back on track with film shoots resuming. Luv Ranjan‘s next untitled project starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is one such project that went on floors in January once it was safe to resume shoot.
The film’s first schedule was completed in Noida earlier this month. It has also been in the news as it is producer Boney Kapoor‘s debut vehicle where he plays Ranbir’s father. Now, the latest news is about the film’s release date! Luv Films‘ official Instagram handle just posted that the film is all set to release on March 18th, 2022 which is around Holi.

The film also stars Dimple Kapadia who plays Boney Kapoor’s wife and Ranbir’s mother in the film. Boney, speaking about his role in the film, said that he is set to play a “rich and confident Punjabi father”. He added that he was hesitant on taking up a full-fledged acting role, but his children — Arjun, Janhvi, Khushi and Anshula Kapoor — convinced him to take it up.
Well, it is the first time we will be seeing RK and Shraddha share screen space, and the first time we’ll be seeing Boney Ji on screen. And with a talented actress like Dimple Kapadia on board this Luv Ranjan directorial, it sure is one film I am super excited to catch next year.
