South superstar Thalapathy Vijay is currently basking in the success of Master which is a super-hit at the box office. Now according to a report a Pinkvilla, the makers of Vijay’s next project Thalapathy 65, which will be helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar has approached Nawazuddin Siddiqui to play the main antagonist in the film.
The publication quoted a source close to the development said— “Thalapathy 65 has a very important role for the antagonist and the makers thought that Nawaz fits the part well. The actor has heard the script, however, he is yet to sign on the dotted line. If all goes as planned then Vijay and Nawaz will lock horns in Thalapathy 65″.
The film is expected to go on floors in June. Thalapathy 65 was officially announced in December 2020. Taking to his social media, director Nelson Dilipkumar wrote, “Happy to announce my next film with #thalapathy Vijay sir and @sunpictures @anirudhofficial @jagadishbliss #thalapathy65.”

Meanwhile, Nawazuddin is all set to kickstart shooting for Jogira Sara Ra Rain Lucknow on February 25. The romantic comedy film helmed by Kushan Nandy will star Neha Sharma alongside Nawaz. The film is penned by Ghalib Asad Bhopali and is being jointly produced by Naeem A Siddiqui and Kiran Shyam Shroff.
