For actors in today’s time, returning to a film set after a whole year in the pandemic is in itself a very exciting moment. Now imagine getting on the set of a Hindi film after 5 years! Yes, that’s exactly the case with actress Nimrat Kaur, who was last seen in the film, Airlift, opposite Akshay Kumar in 2016.

Nimrat worked on two international projects and one web series in these 5 years and is now back on the sets of the film, Dasvi, alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam. The actress is set to join the cast this Friday, while Abhishek and Yami have already begun shoot at the Agra Central Jail.

Speaking about it to Times Of India, Nimrat says that this is a space she hasn’t explored before and that it was a ‘no-brainer’ to say yes to the project. She adds that people tend to cast an actor in similar roles if they are good at it, in turn stereotyping, and that it is necessary to break that mould.

About working for the first time with Abhishek Bachchan, she says that they haven’t met or exchanged notes on this film and that it should mostly happen on set, spontaneously. She will be sharing screen space with Yami for the first time too and says that she doesn’t give importance to talks about who has more screen time. Nimrat shares that it’s all about being happy and making great films and that she is actually looking forward to learn more from Yami and Abhishek.

The makers released the first look of the actors from the film recently as it went on floors and I sure cannot wait for this one!
