Oscar-winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o recently opened up about shooting the second franchise of the Black Panther. During an interview with Good Morning America, the actress spoke about shooting the movie without the previous film’s lead actor, Chadwick Boseman. Sharing in a virtual interview on Good Morning America. she said—“It’s gonna be different, of course, without our king to go back into that world”.

However, Lupita is optimistic that director Ryan Coogler has some exciting things planned for the much-awaited sequel. She said—“I know that all of us are dedicated to carrying on his legacy in this new Black Panther. She further added “Ryan Coogler has some really, really exciting ideas that I look forward to bringing to life with the rest of the family.”

For the unversed, Marvel boss Kevin Feige earlier this year confirmed that Chadwick‘s role of T’Challa would not be recast and the film’s focal point will be the world of Wakanda instead. He was quoted as saying—“So much of the comics and that first movie in the world of Wakanda. Wakanda is a place to further explore characters and different subcultures. This was always and initially the primary focus of the next story.

Chadwick Boseman who played the character of King T’Challa/Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, died last year after battling with colon cancer for 4 years.
