Athiya Shetty Sets The Tone For Summer Dressing In A Balmy Kurta Set

Sakshi Kore

As we transition into spring and bid a sweet goodbye to winter, it’s also time for our wardrobes to make a swift transition to balmy separates to keep the heat at bay. Simplistic and easy-breezy kurta salwars can come in handy for busy days when comfort is a must and ethnic seems to be the aesthetic you veer towards. If you’re looking for sartorial inspiration for new buys or want to play around with your existing collection—which we highly recommend—cue in Athiya Shetty‘s latest airport look. The actress was seen flying out of Bombay in a breezy ochre set that she elevated by way of layering. Scroll ahead to learn how to layer your ethnic looks and still keep them heat-proof in summers.

Athiya Shetty goes for light summer layering to elevate her airport OOTD:

For her flight, Athiya picked a button-down kurta and teamed it with a pair of matching ankle-length, cigarette pants. The kurta came patterned with abstract wavy lines while the pants featured sheer detailing with polka dots. What upped the ante of the basic look was the matching, balmy overlay that came with summer’s favourite balloon sleeves. The lightness of the knee-length jacket was what made it sensible summer layering. So, if you want to give layering a whirl even in summers, opt for lightweight layers.

A pair of gold and silver coin earrings, round-shaped sunglasses, a couple of rings, a blush pink Miu Miu handbag and the quintessential Kolhapuris in ivory served as her accessories for the day. To keep the look fuss-free, Athiya pulled her hair back in a neat bun and from what was visible, opted out of heavy makeup.
