Parineeti Chopra seems to be on a roll! After receiving rave reviews for her performance in the recently released, ‘Girl On The Train’, she is all set to be seen in yet another strong role in the film ‘Saina’, whose trailer just launched today!
Saina is a biopic based on the life of the celebrated female badminton player from our own country, Saina Nehwal. Directed by Amole Gupte, Parineeti plays Saina’s role and boy, does she pack a punch!
Essaying the role of someone in a biopic isn’t an easy task. But right from getting the look and feel of the character right to embodying the essence and the soul of the story and character, Parineeti seems to have hit the mark! The film chronicles Saina’s journey to realising her dreams of playing for the nation and all the sacrifices and sweat and tears and joy and pride that come with it.

The film also stars Manav Kaul in a pivotal roles. It was initially supposed to star Shraddha Kapoor, after which Parineeti stepped in.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar‘s T-Series and Front Foot Pictures, Saina was set to release in September 2020 last year, but got pushed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, it is all set for a theatrical release on 26th March, 2021.
