Earlier today, there was news about Ranbir Kapoor being unwell and reports that he has contracted COVID-19. Now, his mother Neetu Kapoor took to her social media to share the news and confirm that Ranbir has tested positive for Coronavirus.

Taking to her Instagram, she posted a picture of RK and wrote, “Thank you for your concern and your good wishes. Ranbir has tested positive for COVID-19. He is on medication and recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions.”

Earlier, Neetu Ji also tested positive for the dreaded virus while she was shooting for her upcoming film, Jug Jugg Jeeyo. She was also under home quarantine and recovered from it, post which she went back to the sets of the film and completed work on it.

Coming to Ranbir, he had just returned from the first schedule of his upcoming film directed by Luv Ranjan in Noida. He is set to star alongside Shraddha Kapoor in it and is all set to release on March 18, 2022. He also has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan which is set to release sometime this year. Ranbir also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga‘s dark thriller, Animal in the pipeline alongside Parineeti Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol among others.
