Superstar Salman Khan on Wednesday received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The 55-year-old actor, who was spotted at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital in the evening, took to his Twitter to share the news.

According to a report by PTI, the Dabangg star’s parents –veteran screenwriter Salim Khan and producer Salma Khan took their first shot of the vaccine a few days ago.

For the unversed, On Tuesday, the government made an announcement that from April 1, citizens above 45 years of age will be eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccines.

Salman Khan is the latest Indian celebrity to be vaccinated, after Sanjay Dutt, Sharmila Tagore, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Mohanlal, Jeetendra, Kamal Haasan, Nagarjuna, Neena Gupta, Rakesh Roshan, and Johnny Lever.

On the professional front, Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will be hitting the theatres on Eid this year. The actioner helmed by Prabhudeva also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Randeep Hooda, Zarina Wahab, Gautam Gulati and Arjun Kanungo. According to reports, Jacqueline Fernandez is expected to feature in a special dance number.
