The lockdown accelerated the need for comfort in fashion. Loungewear, waist-up-fashion (glam tops with faded and cosy PJs) and more became the only two defining trends of the sartorial industry in 2020 and they continue to be. While sweatshirts and track pants boomed, their bohemian counterpart, the kaftan also gained insurmountable fame. In India, celebrities like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora, Neha Dhupia and more couldn’t get enough. Now the latest celebrity to show her love for this super-balmy silhouette is Diana Penty who took things one notch higher and picked a kaftan and salwar set for a recent outing. Diana Penty nailed that tribal vibe with this look:

Styled by Namita Alexander, Diana picked a creation by designer duo Drishti & Zahabia that featured an abstract, tribal-esque print. Colours like burnt orange, red, yellow and occasional pops of indigo made the look stand out. Along the neckline featured mirror and sequin work that’ll have you delve into the interesting intricacies of the dress. Diana rounded off her look by teaming her kaftan-kurta with a pair of burnt orange cigarette pants, making it the perfect summer-friendly ethnic pick!

To elevate that tribal aesthetic of the look, Diana accessorised her outfit with bohemian silver jewellery from Kohar By Kanika. A silver choker with coins, statement earrings encrusted with orange stones, chunky handcuffs, two statement rings contrasted with a gold watch and gold juttis by Fizzy Goblet added the finishing touches to her look.

In the beauty department, the actor opted for earthy tones. Dark brown eyes with a pop of bronze, a dash of kohl and mascara and filled-in brows were accompanied by a muted pink lip stain. A dainty black bindi in the middle of her eyebrows with her shoulder-grazing locks left open completed her look for the day.
