2021 is looking up for Dia Mirza who recently, in an Instagram post, announced that she and her husband Vaibhav Rekhi are expecting their first child. The actor who got married in February flew to the Maldives last week and posted a series of envy-inducing beach pictures bejewelled with orange sunsets and azure skies. Post their honeymoon, Dia soon got back to work. The star who will be seen in Wild Dog—a Telugu film, which releases today has also been busy with its promotions. For one of the events, Dia decided to opt for the humble kurta set designed by Payal Khandwala. The actor has time and again picked bright and eye-catching ethnic wear and this look is no different. How Dia Mirza colour-blocked effortlessly:

It’s no news that Dia prefers to take the ‘less is more’ route more often than not. This look borrows its inspiration from that concept. The actor wore a long, bright blue, asymmetrical kurta featuring loose 3/4th sleeves. The bodice of the kurta featured stunning brocade work instantly making it a regal look. She teamed the kurta with a pair of bottle-green flared pants making one helluva case for colour-blocking. To let her outfit do the talking, she accessorised her look with a tiered gold necklace and bronze Kolhapuris by Aprajita Toor that were just the perfect finishing touches.

For her beauty, Dia kept it nice and simple. Filled-in brows, a little bit of eyeliner and kohl with a matte pink lip stain rounded off her beauty look. She framed her face with her curled locks left open in a side part.

If you’ve been a little scared to take on the colour-blocking trend with bright hues, let Dia’s look prove to you just how non-daunting it is. Make sure to keep things clean and minimal and you’ll be good to go.
