With just one day’s shoot pending for Ajay Devgn, Covid played the villain and clearly had some other plans. But amongst all odds, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ajay Devgn managed to pull things off and completed the shooting for Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi. Ajay who has a guest appearance in Gangubai Kathiawadi couldn’t have hoped for better bonding with Mr. Bhansali. They have collaborated yet again after 1999 when they last worked together for Hum…Dil De Chuke Sanam.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always loved Ajay’s work and believes that his versatility and experience brings in a lot of learning for other cast members on the sets. Ajay started shooting for this film in February 2021 and since he has an all-encompassing cameo appearance, he managed to quickly wrap things off despite the second wave of the coronavirus. Even though it has been 22 years since they collaborated, it suddenly feels like the actor and the director never stopped working together.
I am super excited to see what Ajay has in store for us with this special appearance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Here’s wishing him and the entire cast of this film good luck and success.
