The COVID-19 pandemic changed lives in a way we never imagined and the second wave in India has led the government to impose restrictions in some parts of the country. As a result, many film production houses have pushed the release dates and one such movie that has been affected is Simon McQuoid’s much-awaited action-fantasy film, ‘Mortal Kombat’.

Earlier, Mortal Kombat was slated to hit the theatres in India on 16th April and due to the lockdown protocols in some states, the release date has now been pushed to 23rd April. The movie will release in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across cinemas in India. The video game franchise-inspired film has an international star cast which includes Joe taslim, Jessica McNamee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Sisi Stringer, Lewis Tan, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks and Josh Lawson.

In this movie, MMA fighter Cole Young will seek out for Earth’s greatest champions to fight against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe. The plot sure seems very interesting and I’m sure all fans are super excited to watch it on the big screen this month, of course, with all safety precautions in place.
