In today’s times, the state of things and work is very uncertain, given the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has hit a lot of states, Maharashtra especially. Given a lot of shoots had resumed in Mumbai over the past few months with strict protocols in place, a lot of films had resumed their schedules. But now, the state has again gone into partial lockdown, forcing the shoots also to halt.

Among the films whose shoots have been halted are big budget films like Shah Rukh Khan‘s Pathan, Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt‘s Ayan Mukerji directorial, Brahmastra. Both the films are being shot on a very big scale and have already been pushed because of the lockdown last year.

FWICE general secretary Ashok Dubey told Times Of India that Pathan‘s set was being built on a helipad where SRK and John Abraham were going to shoot. Apart from this and the Brahmasta set, there was also a set being constructed for Vikramaditya Motwane‘s Andolan Pictures, informs Mr. Dubey. He adds that each set had around 250 people working on it and their work has now taken a hit because of the second wave.

Zahid Shaikh of Cine Dancers Association (CDA) also told Times Of India that a Brahmastra song shoot needed 300 dancers, among other song shoots, and they had a lot of dancers back on set. But, as for Brahmastra, Ranbir and Alia’s COVID diagnosis and now, the new regulations stating that no big shoots can happen has further postponed the song shoot.

Here’s hoping things get back to normal super soon and these film teams can go back to completing their long-pending shoots.
