Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt‘s chemistry in Gully Boy was appreciated by the audience and critics alike. Looks like we’re going to see these two powerhouses of talent together again but this time in a project helmed by Karan Johar.
According to reports in SpotBoye, KJo will be directing two of his favourite people in the industry in a quirky love story. But Karan hasn’t spoken out about this particular project as of yet. The last we knew of Karan’s directorial plans was for his ambitious magnum opus Takht. But as that is being put on hold due to Covid and budget restrictions, seems like KJo might take this one up first.
While Karan is yet to confirm about the said project, a friend of Karan’s confirmed the news with SpotBoye.
While Alia has been directed by Karan in her very first film, this will be the first time Ranveer will be directed by him. KJo has previously produced Ranveer’s super hit movie Simmba. Both Alia and Ranveer are close to Karan, Alia is like a daughter to him and she would do any project that Karan would tell her to according to the source. It’s widely known that Alia even discusses her projects with KJo. This will be the first time that Ranveer will be seen in a full blown Dharma film.
