When it comes to star children in the show business, the pressure to perform as well as their parents or grandparents is definitely high. When it comes to Abhishek Bachchan, it is true for him because of his father, Amitabh Bachchan‘s legacy.

Abhishek’s career has been a series of highs and quite a few lows as well. In a recent interview with radio host, Siddharth Kannan, Abhishek spoke about how, at one point after facing a lot of flops, he was ‘abused’ by people who said he cannot act. He says he even considered quitting films, but this is when his father came in and guided him in the right direction.

Speaking about it, Abhishek tells Siddharth:

To fail on a public platform is very difficult. There was no social media back then, but I read via media that some were abusing me while some said that I do not know acting. At one point in time, I felt it was my mistake that I came into the industry as whatsoever I was trying, it was not working. I went to my dad and said maybe I am not made for this industry.

Recalling Amit Ji‘s advice for him, Abhishek shares the words his father told him — “I never brought you up to be quitter. Every morning you have to wake up and fight for your place under the sun. As an actor, you are improving with every film.”

He adds that Amit Ji asked him to take up all the work that was coming his way and that it’ll be fine.
Well, it sure is some great advice, and to get it from your father who is also one of the biggest actors in the country, is even more special, no?

Abhishek was seen in the latest release, The Big Bull, which premiered online on Disney+ Hotstar last week, and he was appreciated for his performance in it. He also wrapped up shooting his next, Dasvi, a few days ago.
