Yesteryear actress and talk show host, Tabassum Govil a.k.a Baby Tabassum was recently in the news after she was admitted to the hospital. While news was that she has contracted the COVID-19 virus, rumours started doing the rounds that she is suffering from Alzheimer’s.

To clear the air about her health, we contacted her family, who issued an official statement regarding her condition.

Here is a statement by her son, Hoshang Govil:

Yes, mom had COVID and no, she does not have Alzheimer’s. There are some rumours being circulated on WhatsApp about her having Alzheimer’s which is completely incorrect. She is sharp as ever, only slightly out of her elements due to COVID recovery. Mom was totally asymptomatic. She had no symptoms. Two days after shoot for Tabassum Talkies, her blood pressure went slightly higher than usual so we got her tested. She turned out positive so as a precaution, we got her admitted to the hospital. She has recovered now and has also tested negative. She will be discharged today, as said by the team of doctors. We are extremely grateful for all the love and concern that her fans are showing towards us and of course, her.

We are so glad that Tabassum Ji is feeling better, and wish her good health, always.

The well-renowned talk show host has her own show on YouTube called Tabassum Talkies, where she talks about the golden age of her times in Hindi cinema and much more.
