Sobhita Dhulipala made her Bollywood debut with Anurag Kashyap‘s Raman Raghav 2.0. Since then she’s carved quite a niche for herself in the industry. In fact, she turned into a household name after her notable acting in Amazon Prime’s Made In Heaven. Her role in this show has left us in awe of her. She was even seen in Kaalakaandi and Chef opposite Saif Ali Khan.

Another thing I absolutely love about Sobhita is her off-beat style and how she makes casual clothes look so glamorous. It is evident that this rising star has great taste and her latest look is giving us all the feels. The actress wears a colourful saree to the launch of her upcoming movie called Major which is based on the 2008 attacks in Mumbai. The film stars Adivi Sesh who plays the role of martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. The film is set to release on 2 July 2021.

Here’s a closer look at Sobhita Dhulipala’s gorgeous floral saree:

Jahnvi Bansal styles Sobhita Dhulipala in a turquoise blue, floral, organza-silk saree from Torani. Firstly, I literally cannot take my eyes of the saree. There’s a retro feel to this look, it takes me back to fabric shopping with my mother, where we’d see yards and yards of gorgeous floral fabrics with larger than life motifs. Back then we’d never have thought that chevron stripes would work in tandem with a floral print. The bikini-cut, bustier in orange and turquoise is hand and machine embroidered and matches the sequin border all-along the saree. This is the perfect summer saree in my opinion. The saree costs around Rs. 120,000.

Sobhita accessorises her look with orange glass bangles on one hand and a vintage silver ring and pearl, drop earrings from Sheetal Zaveri by Vithaldas. The ring costs around Rs. 10,500 and the earrings cost around Rs 41,800.  Simple sandals, a tiny black bindi and marigold flowers in her hair amp up the retro-ness for the whole look.

Makeup artist Sandeep Molugu gives her a smooth base with contoured and flushed cheeks. Filled-in brows, kohl-lined eyes and a berry lip complete her makeup. I do wish the lips were subtle so her outfit would do all the talking. For her hair, she pulled her hair back into a tight bun which is fitting for the overall impact of the outfit.
