The thing about monochrome dressing is that.. you don’t need expert guidance to ace it. Wear one colour head-to-toe or several shades and hues of it, curating singled-toned looks doesn’t require much time or effort. And what makes this effortless and an A-lister-favourite trend better? The ability of a monochrome outfit to make you look hella stylish and put together even if you’ve picked the most basic silhouettes from your closet on a lazy day. Saiyami Kher agrees. The actor has been embracing wearing a single shade top to bottom for the promotions of her most recent project, Wild Dog which released on April 2, 2021. Styled by Sanjay Kumar, ahead we show you our favourite monochrome looks Saiyami sported for the promotional activities!
Mustard is such a refreshing colour for just about any season! For one of the events, Saiyami wore an elegant full-sleeved kurta featuring glimmering circular motifs. The neckline was adorned with gold beads adding a touch of shine to the look. She layered the kurta with a matching dupatta that saw stunning tonal embroidery on the border. Statement gold earrings encrusted with semi precious stones and a floral-shaped ring served as her accessory picks. Minimal jewels, similar shades with a pop of green and some shine on the kurta makes the look quite appealing, doesn’t it?
For yet another event, Saiyami gave power dressing a try but with a playful spin. She picked a royal blue co-ord set that came with straight-cut trousers, a fitted crop-top with a plunging neckline and a blazer. Yes, the red and white stripes lend a quirky touch to the ensemble but the tiny human motifs dressed in swimsuits spread on the separates make the entire look so interesting! All in all, love the amalgamation of a monochrome colour scheme with subtle pops of colour.
Let’s get this straight, there’s no going wrong in an all-white look. Timeless and classic! Harnessing the power of this colour combo, Saiyami opted for a white sports bra and layered it with a cropped, ivory jacket featuring chunky silver buttons. She teamed the separates with dual-toned flared pants featuring shades of white and ivory. How sharp yet fun this look is, no?
Which colour shows off the spirit of summer better than yellow? Other shades of yellow! Having said that, Saiyami sported this shade on another occasion with a flirty and feminine look. Her pick: a sleeveless, laser-cut crop-top with a matching midi skirt. The plunging neckline of the blouse gave the girl-next-door look a sexy uplift. Neutral heels and statement circular earrings completed her OOTD.
Another day, another co-ord set. This time, she opted for an earthy set instead of her usual vibrant choices. She donned a cropped, hunter green shirt with formal, high-waisted pants. The highlight of the look however were the quirky patches as the sleeves, embellished with sequins and beadwork. Black block heels served as the perfect finishing touch to the look.
