The world and our nation is currently going through very unprecedented and uncertain times owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone, everywhere is going through their own struggles, and people have come forward and resorted to social media to direct help. People are putting out requests for hospital beds, oxygen cylinders, plasma donors, medication, food services, and so much more. This is helping amplify the message until it reaches the people who can help and it certainly is wonderful.
In the past year, we have seen social media platforms like Twitter getting very toxic and hateful. Celebrities like Taapsee Pannu, who is vocal on Twitter, have experienced this first hand. But now, she says that regardless of all the toxicity, she chooses to stay on the platform because of how helpful it is being to the population of this country today.
The actress, sharing a note on her Twitter, lauded the incessant efforts put forth by so many on the platform to support those who really need it amid the pandemic.
Here is her tweet:
There was something in me that made me stay here inspite of being one of the most toxic platforms of social media. Seeing the timeline filled with support being asked and selfless/agenda free help being offered makes me believe in the power of intuition once again. Beautiful 👏🏼

Apart from Taapsee, Bhumi Pednekar, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Aparshakti Khurana have also stepped up and are using their platform to spread awareness and help out.
Here’s hoping that with each other’s help, support and kindness, we get through these tough times. Until then, here’s sharing a friendly reminder to stay home, stay safe and stay kind.
