Girl you really don’t want your matte lipstick to highlight any cracks and flaws or settle into any fine lines so exfoliating is essential. This will also keep your lips looking and feeling soft.

Now that you’ve sloughed off all the dead skin to reveal a clean canvas you need to add the moisture back in so your lips don’t dry up. Apply a lightweight lip treatment like a balm, oil or any nourishing treatment. This fills in any cracks and helps soften your lips for your matte lipstick to go on smoother.
