In 2020, Disney+ Hotstar made an announcement that it’s going to release a few exciting films on its platform owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the theatres being shut last year, a lot of big budget films like Laxxmi Bomb, Coolie No.1 and others premiered on OTT. One such film on the list was Ajay Devgn‘s ‘Bhuj – The Pride Of India.’
‘Bhuj – The Pride Of India’ is the final film of the line-up on Disney+ Hotstar and it is all set to release on Independence Day — 15th August, 2021. The film, directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, is a war saga set amid the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. The film is based on the IAF officer, Vijay Karnik, who reconstructed the IAF airbase during the war with the help of 300 women from the neighbouring village. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk among others.
Ajay was last seen on the big-screen in ‘Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior‘, and post that, fans have been waiting for his next release.
Given times are uncertain, it is only right for us to enjoy our favourite films from the comfort and safety of our homes. I am really excited about this one and can’t wait to catch this power-packed film on 15th August! What about you guys?
