The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic took the country by surprise and caused havoc in no time. It’s spreading faster than ever, but, the front-line workers are working tirelessly to save lives and meet demands. Apart from this, people from different parts of the country are joining hands to collect the required details and resources. Many Bollywood stars have also stepped in to meet the demands in terms of beds, medicines, funding, and raising awareness. Akshay Kumar recently recovered from his bout of the virus, donated Rs 1 crore to Gautam Gambhir’s foundation to help the Coronavirus-hit with food, medicines, and oxygen supplies.
The cricketer-turned-politician, Gautam Gambhir shared the news on social media, and the netizens showered love and appreciated the actor’s contribution. This is not the first time Akshay has done something for the public benefit, the actor previously made several donations and helped improve the lives of many.

On the work front, Akshay had been shooting for his upcoming movie Ram Setu with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharucha. The actor has several other exciting films in the pipeline, which include- Housefull 5, Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi Re, Bell Bottom, and Sooryavanshi.
