On April 29, 2020, the entertainment industry lost a gem. The impeccable actor, Irrfan Khan left for his heavenly abode. His sad demise was a shock to everyone. His wife Sutapa Sikdar and sons Babil Khan and Ayaan Khan are yet to overcome their loss. The late actor was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor in 2018. He got treated for the same in London. The late actor was last seen in Homi Adjania‘s Angrezi Medium which also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan in lead roles.
And now it is going to be a year since he left us. Speaking to The Times of India, his wife Sutapa opened up about how Irrfan was planning to work with Babil. She revealed that the late actor was on a search for a script for his son. Sutapa shared that Irrfan was planning things with Babil in which also included a film. She further revealed that the film revolved around a coach who trains some specially-abled children for a football tournament and how they win. The late actor was going to either act or direct the film.
While the wishes of many fans to watch the father-son duo remains unfulfilled, Babil recently made an announcement of his debut film titled ‘Qala‘. The film also stars Triptii Dimri in the lead role and will be dropped on Netflix. The film will be produced by Anushka Sharma’s Clean Slate Filmz and will be directed by Anvitaa Dutt.
