Deepika Padukone's Family Tests Positive For COVID-19, Father Prakash Padukone Hospitalised

In today’s time, we are constantly hearing about so many people falling victim to the raging Coronavirus. From family, friends, to our favourite celebrities, so many are fighting this battle and it is heartening to learn about it everyday.

Just today, news is that Deepika Padukone’s Family tested positive for the virus. Deepika’s family stays in Bangalore, where the COVID-19 numbers are pretty high currently. Reports suggest that her father – the renowned veteran badminton player, Prakash Padukone – has been admitted to the hospital for treatment, while her sister, Anisha Padukone and mother Ujjala Padukone have also tested positive.

A report on Times Of India quotes Vimal Kumar, a close friend of the veteran sportsman and the director of Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, as saying that Mr. Padukone is now on the road to recovery.
Mr. Vimal informs that the family got themselves tested around 10 days ago after noticing mil symptoms and were in isolation. But since Mr. Padukone’s fever didn’t come down after a week, they shifted him to the hospital. Now, his parameters are normal, and he be discharged from the hospital in 2-3 days.

As for his daughter, Deepika, she has been speaking up for the importance of taking care of our mental health amidst the pandemic and has been sharing helpline numbers on her Instagram.
