Aamir Khan‘s Laal Singh Chadha has been in the works for quite some time now. While they could have wrapped up shoot faster, the pandemic wreaked havoc on their schedule. Later, South-Indian actor Vijay Sethupathi, who was supposed to play a pivotal role in the film politely backed out of the project, which caused further delay. They now have Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya on board and are currently in the process of finalising locations for their next schedule.

Aamir and his team of 4 were in Ladakh for a recee recently, where they had to scout for locations for an elaborate war sequence. And what’s super interesting is that they have roped in action director Parvez Shaikh, who has previously worked in WAR, to direct the battlefield scenes from the Kargil War for the film.

For this schedule of the film, Aamir Khan, Naga Chaitanya along with the director, Advaith Chandan, and team will be stationed in Ladakh for a month. They will leave once the situation in the country stabilises a little and will be living in a bio-bubble.

Laal Singh Chadha is the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, Forrest Gump (1994) starring Tom Hanks. It also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan as the leading lady of the film and she completed her schedule of the film last year. Laal Singh Chadha is scheduled to release on Christmas this year and I sure cannot wait to see this special film unfold on the big screen!
