Just last night, the entire cast of the legendary American sit-com, F.R.I.E.N.D.S, dropped the much-awaited teaser of their reunion episode and it’s safe to say, the internet jumped in excitement! While the news of the reunion happening broke out a long time ago, as an ode to 25 years of the show, the shoot for it got pushed owing to the pandemic. After the situation settled down this year, they got back to shoot last month and wrapped it up. And now finally, we have a release date and it is set to stream on HBO Max on 27th May.
The special episode is called, The One Where They Get Back Together, and all the six friends — Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courteney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matthew Perry (Chandler), David Schwimmer (Ross) and Matt LeBlanc (Joey) — have reunited at Stage 24 at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank for the shoot (the original studio the sit-com was shot at).
The official Instagram account of the sit-com, and all the actors posted the teaser video that has the cast walking arm in arm, with just their back visible.

While the entire cast is coming together, and we’re all super thrilled, it is important to note that this is NOT another original episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S!
Right when the reunion was announced last year, HBO Max shared in a statement that the cast will be appearing as themselves where they will reunite in the original set, have surprises and share some behind-the-scenes footage. It will be executive produced by the main cast and will be directed by The Late Late Show writer Ben Winston.
This reunion special is also going to have some super exciting guest stars who are going to join in on the fun along with the main cast!
The official F.R.I.E.N.D.S account shared the list and I couldn’t help but cue Janice’s trademark phrase:
OH.MY.GOD, yes. This is one epic line-up, isn’t it?
