Most parts of the country are still under lockdown because of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic. Due to cinema halls being shut, producers cannot release their films and have to delay the film release dates. Several production houses have taken their films to a streaming platform because of the uncertainty of movie theatres opening up any time soon. Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Maidaan‘ is not in talks with any streaming platform.

As per the sources at Mid-Day, the producers of the film Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta officially released a joint statement saying “There is currently no conversation with any streaming platform for pay per view release of the film. Our focus is to complete the film keeping everyone’s safety in mind and in full compliance with Protocols laid down by the government.

Cyclone Tauktae recently hit the coastal regions of Maharashtra including Mumbai has damaged the sets of several films including ‘Maidaan,’ It is definitely going to take some time to rebuild the sets that were damaged by the cyclone. ‘Maidaan’ is a sports drama dedicated to the golden years of Indian football. I am super excited for this one and cannot wait to see what Ajay has in store for us.
Hope you all are staying safe at home and wearing a mask wherever it is needed.
