The trailer of Friends: The Reunion featuring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schimmer dropped on May 19 and took us on a roller coaster of emotions. While the special reunion is dropping on May 27th worldwide, the date of release in India was not announced. However, now according to reports, the launch of HBO Max in India will be happening soon so that it can start with Friends: The Reunion.
The streaming platform’s India rollout has been in the works for some time now. According to midday, a source was quoted as saying “The team is putting their might behind launching it as soon as possible as they believe the sitcom special will bring them immense traction. Coordinating remotely has been cumbersome, as India continues to battle the second wave of the pandemic. While the international premiere is slated for May 27, the streaming giant might have a date with India in early June, if all timelines are met.”
