When you talk grace, elegance and absolute beauty in Indian cinema, a few faces immediately come to mind – from Madhubala, Rekha to Madhuri Dixit, to name a few. I mean, how can we get over the class act she pulled off as the mesmerising Chandramukhi in Sanjay Leela Bhandali‘s Devdas?
Her classic mujra performances in Maar Daala along with Bhansali’s larger-than-life canvas was one magical combination. Now, we just heard that this duo is set to come back together once again!
According to Bollywood Hungama, Bhansali and Madhuri are in talks for a Mujra performance in his upcoming series, Heera Mandi. The source shares that the makers have mostly casted for the series, which Bhansali is planning to release on Netflix. They also share that Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi have reportedly been roped in to play pivotal roles in the magnum opus. There was also news of Kartik Aaryan being considered to be a part of the series as well.
Well, add to that a cameo by none other than Madhuri Dixit, and it’s going to be one absolute treat to watch!
The source tells the publication that Madhuri has also shown interest in the song, and that Bhansali feels no one else can bring in the ‘grace and dignity’ that Madhuri brings to the mujra. Well, we certainly agree and cannot wait for this to happen!
Apart from this, Sanjay Leela Bhansali also has his other film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role up for release. The film has been scheduled for a theatrical release on 30th July, 2021.
