When it comes to the film industry, and getting your big, Bollywood break, it all boils down to patience and perseverance, don’t you think? Like many others, actor Tahir Raj Bhasin also set out to pursue his Bollywood dreams and succeeded, of course, but not without his own set of struggles.

Speaking to radio host Siddharth Kannan on his show, Tahir spoke about how he came to Bombay thinking he will land a Dharma or Yash Raj project in a week. But then, reality struck and he says that he realised that it takes you three months to find a house here, roles are another thing altogether.

He shares that it took him 4 long years to land his audition for Yash Raj’s Mardaani, his debut vehicle where he played the antagonist opposite Rani Mukerji. He says that he has been rejected around 250-300 times from ad films, films and other projects and adds that all that rejection contributed to the audition he finally gave for Mardaani. Well, we are so glad he got onboard that film because he was amazing in it, and he only had better things in store for us in the times to come.

The Chhichhore actor is next going to be seen in Loop Lapeta opposite Taapsee Pannu and the Netflix film Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein. He will also be been in the sports drama, ’83, directed by Kabir Khan and co-starring Ranveer Singh among others. He is set to play the role of ace cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar.

I sure can’t wait to see Tahir in all these films, what about y’all?
