Recently, Bollywood Hungama carried the report that Mahesh Manjrekar will be directing ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar‘ based on the life of freedom fighter, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The producer of the film, Sandeep Singh, approached Mahesh to direct this film. The team has apparently found their man to play the character of Swatantraveer Savarkar. As per the reports of Bollywood Hungama, actor, Ayushmann Khurrana might be in to play Swatantraveer Savarkar.
The team expressed their concerns as they are in search of a performer who can pull off this challenging role. The producer’s first choice is Ayushmann as he is known for his versatility and brilliant performances in the past. They are already in talks with the actor for this role and it needs to be seen if they mutually agree on the project. On the other hand, Mahesh is all set to direct this film, as he has always been fascinated by the life of Veer Savarkar. In a statement earlier to the media he said, “As a director, I know it’s going to be a challenge but one that I want to take on.”
This will be the first time Ayushmann will work alongside Mahesh if he is roped in for the film. I am already super excited to hear this news and hope to see them come together for a film.
