One of the most popular daily soaps by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms’ ‘Pavitra Rishta’ is all set for its second season. And according to a report by Pinkvilla, actor Shaheer Sheikh is all set to reprise late Sushant Singh Rajput‘s role as Manav. The show will see Ankita Lokhande returning to television as Archana.
The publication quoted a source as saying— “Shaheer Sheikh has come on board Pavitra Rishta 2.0 to portray the iconic character of Manav. Ankita will be back to play Archana again after 7 long years. The other cast members will be locked soon.”
After SSR left the show to venture into films, actor Hiten Tejwani played the role of Manav for almost 3 years. The show went off-air in 2014.
Pavitra Rishta completed 12 years on June 1, 2021, and recalling the iconic show Ankita Lokhande, took to her social media and shared a clip featuring her and Sushant.
Created by Ekta Kapoor, the show chronicled the lives of Manav (Sushant) and Archana (Ankita), a married couple.
Apart from this Shaheer Sheikh will also be seen in the third season of ‘Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi’ alongside Erica Fernandez.
