Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji‘s much-awaited ambitious project Brahmastra featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will kick off its last schedule in Budapest. The film’s shooting started in 2018 and since then it has faced many roadblocks. Amid the pandemic, the film was almost near its wrap when Ranbir tested positive for coronavirus earlier this year followed by Alia Bhatt. The curfew in Maharashtra amid the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic also put a halt to the shooting as well.
Now, with the restrictions being lifted slowly, a publication has revealed that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will leave for Budapest to shoot the last extensive schedule of Brahmastra. The cast and crew, after being fully vaccinated, will jet off to Hungary. The makers plan is to start the shoot after the month of August.
The movie which is the first part of the trilogy that Ayan Mukerji is working on also features two megastars of the Indian film industry— Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna. The film will also see Mouni Roy and Gurfateh Pirzada among others.
