The passing of actor Irrfan Khan last year was a tremendous loss for the Indian and global film industry. But though he isn’t around us anymore, his legacy lives on through his work and his family, who celebrate him everyday.

His son, Babil Khan, is someone who believes in celebrating his father and has decided to literally take his legacy forward by entering films. He had been pursuing a film course in London at the University of Westminster, but has now decided to quit that and ‘give his all to acting as of now’.

In a heartfelt note, he penned down a farewell to his friends back at the University and about his new beginnings:

I will miss you so much. My beautiful friends. I have a very tight circle here in Mumbai, literally 2-3 friends in total. You all gave me a home in a strange cold place and made me feel like I belonged. Thank you, I love you. Film BA, dropping out today, with over 120 credits cause I’m giving it all to acting as of now. Goodbye university of Westminster. I love you my truest friends.

Here is his post:

Babil is all set to make his full-fledged acting debut with a digital drama, Qala, where he is cast opposite Tripti Dimri. The project is being bankrolled by Anushka Sharma‘s production house, Clean Slate Filmz.

I sure cannot wait to see Babil make his acting debut with this one and to see all that he has in store for us in the future.
