We can always do with a little bit of comic relief in such uncertain and unprecedented times, no? Legendary director Priyadarshan and his Hungama 2 team are here to give us just that, 18 years after he first entertained us with Hungama.
The trailer of the comedy just dropped today and stars Paresh Rawal, Meezaan Jaffery, Shilpa Shetty, Pranitha Subhash, Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Ashutosh Rana, among others.
It’s a comedy caper that is centred around chaos that ensues between two families — the Tiwari‘s consisting of Radhe Shyam Tiwari (Paresh Ji) and his gorgeous wife Anjali Tiwari (Shilpa) and the Kapoor’s consisting of a retired colonel (Ashutosh Rana), his younger son Aakash (Meezaan) and his elder son’s three kids. Confusion follows suit when a young girl called Vaani (Pranitha) walks in with her illegitimate child and they now have to figure who the father of the child is!

Speaking about the film, Shilpa Shetty says:
When I first heard the script of Hungama 2, I couldn’t stop laughing. I’ve always wanted to work with this duo – Paresh and Priyadarshan, they’ve always created magic on screen and I was really excited to be associated with them and Ratan ji (Venus) back again after our Hit track record. Hungama 2 is special as it’s my first film after 12 years and on an OTT platform. Audiences love comedy and so do I, so glad I did this one. People will love this family comic-caper.
Written by Anukalp Goswami, Manisha Korde, Yunus Sajawal and produced by Venus Worldwide Entertainment, the movie is set to release on 23rd July 2021 exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar (VIP and Premium).
