Deepika Padukone & Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Fighter’ To Have A Franchise

I guess it’s safe to say that the manifestation of millions of Bollywood movie buffs of seeing Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan together in a film is finally going to come true! Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film titled, Fighter will feature Deepika and Hrithik in the lead roles and it will be Indian cinema’s first aerial action franchise. This news got fans in a frenzy and wirh a cast so good, one can only imagine how interesting the film is going to be.

Fighter helmed by War director, Siddharth Anand will pay tribute to the valor and sacrifice of the armed forces and glorify their patriotism. The makers are looking at reaching a global audience and plan to release the film in 2022. The details of the film were first announced on Hritik’s 47th bithday and recently trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share an update about the movie.

Fighter is a dream project, and I am glad to have someone with Ajit’s (Viacom COO) vision to be partnering this with me. With this film we aim to put Indian films on the map for action-loving global theatrical audiences who crave for spectacle and the big screen experience.

Fighter will be produced by Viacom 18 Studios, Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb and Anku Pande. I’m super excited for this film and cant wait to see two of my favourites share the screen space.
