As the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic looks a little better, the film industry has started resuming shoots that had been delayed for a long time due to the lockdown. Ace filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is popularly known for his films recently wrapped up the shoot for his upcoming film, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi.’ The filmmaker has projects lined up and has been busy ever since there have been relaxations in the lockdown rules.
As per the reports of Bollywood Hungama, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is stepping in to direct the first episode of ‘Heera Mandi.’ This has been Bhansali’s dream project for almost 12 years now. He is not helming it officially because he is currently busy with the post-production of his upcoming film, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi.’
As per the reports, Vibhu Puri who has assisted Bhansali in ‘Saawariya‘ will be seen directing the other episodes of ‘Heera Mandi.’ Bhansali will constantly be supervising the project and guiding Vibhu throughout the production. Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi will be a part of this project. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced by the team. I am super excited to see how this all turns out and eagerly waiting to hear more updates on this project.
