Ever since movie theatres have been shut due to the ongoing pandemic, the most safest and convenient option for filmmakers to release their films is an OTT platform. During the second wave of the pandemic, we’ve witnessed several filmmakers and production houses approach OTT platforms for their films. In the past, there have been cases where the film has had an online leak before its release. This was the case too with Laxman Utekar’s film, ‘Mimi.’
The film has constantly been in the news as it has a very unique concept with twists and turns. Kriti Sanon who is popularly known for her past performances is seen playing an unconventional role in this film. She plays the character of a surrogate mother alongside the versatile Pankaj Tripathi and Sai Tamhankar. The film was initially supposed to release on July 30, however, the makers decided to go ahead with an early release as the film was leaked on pirated websites.
It is definitely not how the team wanted it to be but unfortunately due to the online leak, they had to release the film early. Just in a day, the film has got great reviews and people are loving Kriti’s performance. Not to forget Pankaj and Sai whose performances are being loved equally. Have you guys watched the film yet?
